About the Event

InnovateX is a 24-hour online National Level hackathon organized by the ACS Chapter and MLC Club, VIT-AP University.

It aims to encourage students and developers to build innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges. Participants will collaborate, learn, and showcase their ideas through working prototypes that will be evaluated by industry mentors and judges.

Themes & Streams

Choose one of the following domains for your project

FinTech

Solutions for digital payments, finance, or budgeting.

EnviroTech (Sustainability)

Ideas focusing on environment, energy, or waste management.

HealthTech

Tools for healthcare, mental health, or wellness tracking.

Developer Tools & AI

Utilities or AI-based tools to enhance productivity and development.

Students are highly encouraged to go out of the box and bring their own problem statements!

Eligibility

Open to all students and early-stage developers across India

Inter-college and inter-specialization teams are allowed

Team size: 1 to 3 members (individual participation permitted)

Format & Rounds

Round 1

Idea Submission

Submit a short summary (150–200 words) describing:

The problem you're addressing
Your proposed solution
Your chosen stream

Optional sketches or mockups can be included.

Evaluation: Creativity, feasibility, and clarity

Shortlisted teams move to the final round

Round 2

Prototype Development (Final Round)

Duration: 24 hours on November 5, 2025

Teams will develop a functional prototype and submit:

Public GitHub/GitLab repository with README
Demo video (2–4 minutes)
Pitch deck (maximum 5 slides)
Brief write-up summarizing problem, solution, and technology used

Judging: Impact, functionality, design, and presentation

Rules & Guidelines

Please read and follow these guidelines carefully to ensure fair participation

1.Projects must be developed entirely during the hackathon
2.Open-source tools, datasets, and public APIs may be used if declared
3.Plagiarism or reuse of closed-source code is not allowed
4.Teams retain ownership of their projects but grant organizers rights for promotional use
5.All submissions and communications will be online
6.Late submissions will not be accepted
